I didn’t get to download my pattern/didn’t receive my purchase email/lost my copy. What do I do?
As soon as your payment is confirmed, you’ll be able to download your pattern. You can log into your account anytime and download all of your purchases there. We strongly suggest that you use a cloud-based service to store all of your sewing patterns, so that you have them in case your computer crashes or you’re not home when you want to look at one (these services include Google Drive, Dropbox, SpiderOak and others).
How many times can I download my pattern?
As many times as you want. That said, we monitor downloads, and reserve the right to terminate any user’s account if we discover questionable download activity.
Can I exchange or return a pattern I bought?
Maybe. There are no refunds on digital products, but if you win a copy or accidentally bought more than one copy, email us and we’ll help you work it out.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept all debit and credit cards via Stripe and Paypal.
Will I be charged sales tax?
We are located in Washington state in the United States, so if you also live in Washington state, you will be assessed sales tax. (If you have a tax exemption in the state of Washington, please email us prior to checking out). Those residing outside of Washington state will not be assessed sales tax.
Do you offer any sales or discount codes?
Yes! You can learn more through the following channels:
> Email newsletter
> Facebook group
> Facebook page

Can I make things to sell from Sterling Sparrows patterns?
Yes, absolutely! The only thing you can’t do is share or sell our patterns themselves. Do whatever you want with your finished products! (We’d love to see them, too!)
What do I do if my pattern isn’t printing correctly?
First, make sure you’re using Adobe Reader and not your browser (it’s free to use). Second, make sure you’ve set your pattern to print at 100% or actual size from the print dialog box. (The actual options you see will depend on your printer).
How do I know I’ll be able to make this pattern?
All Sterling Sparrows patterns are made for ease of the user. Of course, some are harder than others. Clothing patterns are made using standardized body measurements, and each of our pattern listings includes a chart where you can see sizes, ease, fabric requirements, etc.
Are seam allowances included?
Yes. They’re listed on the pattern pieces and in the instructions.
What page formats do you support?
We are set up for printing on letter (standard in the US), A4, and A0 (wide format that does not require page assembly). Our patterns are trimless.
Do I have to have a serger?
No! Our patterns do not require you to use a serger, but you can if you want to.
